Alia Bhatt shares a close bond with her father-filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, often crediting him for getting out the best in her on the celluloid. Time and again she is also been heard mentioning of her father being her biggest critic, thus keeping her grounded, despite her skyrocketing career. After venturing with him for the first time ever on the work front for the movie Sadak 2, she just couldn't stop gushing about her father’s style of working on a film.
Meanwhile, with the outbreak of COVID-19, the actress has been worried about her father. In a conversation with Rajeev Masand, she mentioned constantly asking him not to do certain things as part of safety measures to avoid contracting this widespread virus. As this virus can easily affect kids and those above 60, Alia mentions her father is 70, thus this getting her worried even more. She said, “He is 70 plus. I am constantly nervous and thinking... That’s why I am always screaming ‘don’t touch your face, don’t do this’.”
During the self-isolation, the actress had posted an emotional post that saw her along with father in the picture. She captioned this image as, “Stay home &... go through old pictures when you’re missing your daddy #throwbackthursday #stayhomestaysafe.”
