Especially that the couple is so open about their relationship and families have also given their blessings, fans can't keep calm to see Alia as a bride and Ranbir as the groom. Well, this desire has been fulfilled but just partially. In an advertisement featuring Alia, we see her dressed as a bride. In another advertisement featuring Ranbir, he can be seen as an old age man.
The advertisement for a chocolate brand sees Alia being a cool bride. She looks drop-dead gorgeous in a pastel lehenga with delicate jewellery. As she shared the video on her Instagram account, fans dropped comments saying that they cannot wait to see her as a bride. A fan commented, "You look so cute alia..real mein dulhaniya kab banogi." Another one wrote, "Can't wait to see you as a real bride." One more fan joked about Ranbir and Alia's wedding and stated, "Ranbir wants to know the location of this boy."

In an interview with Rajeev Masand last year, Ranbir spoke about his impending wedding with Alia. He was quoted saying, "It would’ve been sealed had the pandemic not hit our lives.
