Ever since the news of Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt getting married came out, fans cannot keep calm. Reportedly, the duo will tie the knot on April 17 and their wedding festivities will take place between 13-16 April. If reports are to be believed, the couple is expected to wed at Ranbir’s ancestral home RK house in Chembur. But do you know how it all started? Who fell in love first? No? Now, it is a known fact that Alia and Ranbir fell in love with each other while shooting for ‘Brahmastra’ but Alia’s love for Ranbir is age-old. She had a crush on Ranbir when she was just 11 years old. Yes, you heard that right! The soon-to-be bride fell for Ranbir when he was working with Sanjay Leela Bhansali as an assistant producer in ‘Black’.

The stunning beauty made her Bollywood debut in 2014 with ‘Student of the Year’. While promoting her film on ‘Koffee with Karan’, Alia expressed her wish to marry Ranbir during the show. She said, "I want to marry Ranbir because I think he is very adorable."

The rumours of them dating each other started doing rounds when the love birds stunned everyone when they arrived as a couple and posed for the shutterbugs at Sonam Kapoor’s wedding reception for the first time. Ranbir who has always been tight-lipped about his relationship later confirmed being in a relationship with Alia to a magazine but chose to not speak further as their bond was ‘new’.

Since then, the two have been spotted together on several occasions and openly admitted being madly in love with each other. Be it ringing new year’s eve together or getting along with the families at lunch and dinner parties, Ranbir and Alia proved they are together and going strong.

In 2019, when Alia bagged the best actress award for ‘Gully Boy’, the couple swooned everyone with their sizzling chemistry and expressed their love for each other. Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor is also very fond of Alia and their bond was evident when she accompanied her to Arman Jain’s wedding celebration.

Later in 2021, the couple flew to Rajasthan to celebrate Ranbir’s 39th birthday. Alia shared a few pictures from the land of a desert on her Instagram that speaks volume of her love for Ranbir. On Diwali, Alia shared a mushy picture with her beau.
