Nepotism in Bollywood has always been one of the most controversial and talked- about issues prevalent in the film industry. It was brought to light when Kangana Ranaut once called Karan Johar the "flag-bearer of nepotism" on Koffee With Karan. Now, in the days following Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, conversations and debates over nepotism have once again been reignited. We came across a video where Akshay Kumar aired his views on nepotism and talked about how he has never given his kids- Aarav and Nitara- the advantage of being his children.
In an interview with Republic’s Arnab Goswami, Akshay Kumar was asked if he thinks nepotism rocks. Speaking about it, Akshay Kumar explained briefly, “My son always travel in economy class, not that I cannot afford it, I can very much afford it. But when he does something, like he got his black belt, he was shifted to business class. So I always do that with my children.” He further added that he makes sure his kids also have to work hard for things. “I have never given them the advantage of being my children. For him also, he has to work hard for everything,” said Akshay Kumar.
He further said that even if his son Aarav wishes to become an actor, he would want him to run for it and work for it. “So it sucks. Nepotism sucks,” concluded Akshay Kumar. Take a look at the video below:
