Akshay Kumar has landed in legal trouble yet again for apparently mocking a Maratha warrior in an ad commercial. Endorsing a detergent powder, the commercial featuring Akki has the actor portraying a Maratha warrior returning to his kingdom after defeating his nemesis. Following the grand welcome by his reel life better half, one of his soldier's wife’s taunts him for soiled clothes to which Akki has an instant reply. The commercial further has Akki dancing weirdly and washing clothes. Now this has clearly not gone down well with the certain section of people in Maharashtra.
Hence, a police complaint has been filed at Worli Police Station, Mumbai, against the actor for mocking the Marathi culture and hurting the sentiments of people in Maharashtra. The entire set up of this ad commercial has the actor sporting a Peshwaii outfit with his onscreen wife sporting a nine yards saree and traditional jewellery. As per reports in Latestly.com, now the complainant is waiting for the brand and actor to respond to it. The publication also shared a picture of the letter penned complaining about this mockery of the Maratha Culture. Check out the picture below- ALSO READ:
