Bollywood’s Khiladi Akshay Kumar is currently on a promotional spree for his upcoming family entertainer ‘Raksha Bandhan’ where he plays a brother who wants his four sisters to get married soon. The actor is leaving no stone unturned to create curiosity about the film and to ensure it becomes a massive hit. Recently, Akshay visited Jaipur where he met artisans who make ‘rakhis’ by converting threads into ornamental. He received a floral welcome with women’s and a crowd showering flowers on him.
Notably, Kumar was thronged by women, in fact, many women artisans tied a rakhi on his wrist. Clearly, the Rowdy Rathore actor was seen overwhelmed receiving so much love. He met the hard-working artisans and exchanged sweet pleasantries with them. The actor even showered flowers on the women artisans who create handicraft rakhis. Akshay also posted a video of it on his Instagram handle alongside a heartfelt note. The post was captioned, “Khamma Ghani Jaipur! It was a heart-warming experience while visiting the artisans there and to watch them use their craft to convert threads into ornamental Rakhis. Earlier, the 54-year-old actor took his four on-screen sisters, Sadia Khatib, Smriti Shrikant, Deepika Khanna, and Sahajmeen Kaur for shopping. Also starring Bhumi Pednekar in a pivotal role, Raksha Bandhan is directed by Aanand L Rai and will release this Thursday, August 11. Reportedly, ahead of its release, the film has already minted a whopping Rs 1 crore from advance booking. It is being reported that the movie has collected 1.03 crore including block seats and 7315 tickets have been sold.
