Akshay Kumar and several other celebrities across the nation are heaping praises over the new Parliament building. Amid all the praises and excitement, many pictures and videos of the new Parliament have gone viral on the internet and My Parliament My Pride is trending right now. 

The Bollywood star took to his Twitter handle and shared a few glimpses into the new Parliament and he even offered a voiceover for the video as he tweeted, “Proud to see this glorious new building of the Parliament. May this forever be an iconic symbol of India’s growth story. #MyParliamentMyPride”

However, the promotion of the new parliament by Akshay Kumar specifically, did not go well with the Twitter-verse, and netizens had mixed reactions to the same. 


The new Parliament promotion video grabbed eyeballs as Akshay Kumar talked about how, when he was a child, he would visit the India Gate and around and see the buildings made by the Britishers. The actor also boasts about the new Parliament building and its construction. 

Akshay Kumar has often been on the receiving end for multiple reasons. Be it his films, songs or now, the video of the Parliament building. Akshay Kumar's Canadian citizenship has often been brought up by many and people are taking a dig at the actor over the same.

Internet was quick to react to the recently shared video and many opined that ‘Canadian actor’ should not interfere with the Indian Parliament building. Nevertheless, Akshay Kumar's fans continue to support him amid all the hate.







The building was inaugurated on Sunday by PM Narendra Modi took to his Twitter handle and shared a video of the same. The Prime Minister of India shared some key moments from the inauguration and wrote, “Here are key moments from the grand inauguration of our new Parliament building. A milestone in our nation's journey, it radiates the hopes and aspirations of 140 crore Indians.”
