Akshay Kumar has time and again set an example with his noble gestures. The superstar has also been spreading awareness since the COVID-19 pandemic began. Reports now say that the actor has pledged to donate Rs 1 crore to rebuild a school in Kashmir. Akshay Kumar was in Jammu and Kashmir on June 17, where he spend the entire day with the Border Security Force.
During this visit, Akshay spotted a school in not-so-good condition, and expressed his wish to contribute Rs 1 crore for its redevelopment. On July 27, the BSF took to their Twitter account, and shared that a foundation stone had been laid for it. This education block has been named after Akshay’s father, late Hari Om Bhatia. Akshay Kumar also attended the virtual ceremony of laying the foundation for the school.
