In the wake of the Coronavirus pandemic affecting the country, several Bollywood celebrities extended their supports towards the relief funds. But, with the problems worsening day by day, celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, Rohit Shetty, Sonu Sood, are doing their best in every possible manner to help the people. Now, after donating Rs 25 Crore to the relief funds, Akshay makes another massive contribution by donating Rs 45 lakh to Cine and TV Artistes’ Association i.e (CINTAA).
Senior Joint Secretary of CINTAA i.e Cine and TV Artistes’ Association, Amit Behl confirmed the news to indianexpress.com. Speaking with the news portal, Behl mentioned how the initiative to approach Akshay Kumar was taken up by one of the committee members and Ayub Khan. Amit Behl said, “The initiative to approach Akshay Kumar was taken up by one of the committee members and Ayub Khan. Ayub spoke to Jaaved Jaaferi and Sajid Nadiadwala about the problems of our cine employees. We then approached Akshay Kumar and he immediately agreed to help us.”
After sharing how the Laxmmi Bomb actor immediately agreed to help and extended his support, Behl mentioned that Akshay sent Rs 3000 directly to the bank account of 1500 cine and television workers. He said, “Akshay Kumar has sent Rs 3000 directly to bank accounts of 1500 cine and TV workers. Additional to this amount of 45 lakh, the star has said that he is willing to help more cine employees and that we should just send him their bank accounts. Even Sajid Nadiadwala has also come forward to help. He has asked us to help him with a list of people who have not received help yet.” While Akshay Kumar made the massive contribution to CINTAA, even after that, the actor mentioned that he is willing to help more employees and requested for their bank details.
