Akshay Kumar has confirmed that he walked out of Gulshan
Kumar’s biopic Mogul because he had issues with its script.
“No I am not part of it. I am not doing it,” Akshay has
said in a recent interview when asked about the status of Mogul.
“Script pe humari thodi baat.. (We did not agree on the
script),” he added.
Akshay Kumar
Akshay was finalised last year to play the role of (late)
Gulshan Kumar in the biopic and the announcement was done with lots of fanfare
at the T-Series office.
SpotboyE.com Editor Vickey Lalwani had then caught up
with T-Series head honcho Bhushan Kumar and got him talking on the biopic.
Speaking exclusively to SpotboyE.com, Bhushan had said that he was ecstatic about getting Akshay on board for the biopic. He had already met him to discuss the role and was jubilant about his inclusion in the film. Bhushan had thought that Akki is the perfect man for the part.
Rajinikanth’s 2.0, where Akshay plays the villain, is all
set to release on November 29 this year after some delay. The sci-fi film was
to release in Diwali last year but was moved to January 26 and then once again
to April. “I am excited about the film. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it
releases on November 29,” Akshay said.
Furthermore, Akshay rubbished reports of him doing a film
with Kareena Kapoor Khan that will be produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma
Productions and the sequel to Awara Pagal Deewana and the third part of Welcome
and Hera Pheri. Akshay is currently busy promoting his next film Gold directed
by Reema Kagti, scheduled to hit theatres on August 15.
