Here’s an exciting piece of news for all the fans of Hera Pheri franchise. After treating fans with two instalments, Akshay Kumar has confirmed that he will be doing 3rd instalment as well. A few days back, Kumar had denied the news of him being approached for Hera Pheri 3, but yesterday, during Gold promotions in Calcutta, the actor has confirmed that he is a part of Hera Pheri 3.
When Akshay was asked about what kind of cinema we can expect from him, he replied saying, “Alag alag filme. Ek kisam ki filme nahi, sirf social filme nahi balki HF4 kar raha hu, HERA PHERI 3 bhi kar raha hu to aaisi bahut saari filme hai.”

Interestingly, last month, Akshay had also quashed rumours of him doing a film with Kareena Kapoor and the third part of 'Welcome' and 'Hera Pheri'. However, a few days back, Karan Johar made an announcement of Kareena and Akshay reuniting for Dharma Productions’ Good News. Karan had taken to social media and captioned the poster as, “#GoodNews IS HERE! Bringing a fantastic cast of @akshaykumar, #KareenaKapoorKhan, @diljitdosanjh & @Advani_Kiara to the big screen with our debutant director @raj_a_mehta! This DRAMEDY's due date is 19th July 2019! @apoorvamehta18 @ShashankKhaitan @DharmaMovies #CapeOfGoodFilms”. Looks like a lot of projects have materialised for Akshay in the last 15 days.

The first
instalment of the franchise Hera Pheri was the remake of 1989 Malayalam film
Ramji Rao, which became a blockbuster in no time. The franchise, starring
Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty in lead roles, then returned with
a sequel titled Phir Hera Pheri in 2006. After that, the audiences have been
eagerly for the third instalment. Well, the wait is over as Akshay has finally
confirmed doing the film.
