Maharashtra is the worst affected by Coronavirus. The majority of the cases in India are in Maharashtra. Despite the scare, the Maharashtra Police is doing its best to keep the citizens safe. As warriors, the police force is on the road, risking their own lives, to deal with the situation. So in order to pay tribute to the Maharashtra Police, Bollywood celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Salman Khan and many others changed their display pictures on social media. Stars have put up Maharashtra police's logo as their DP.
Shah Rukh Khan, who opened his office to make Quarantine space in the Mumbai city, shared Maharashtra Police's logo and wrote, "I stand in solidarity with Maharashtra police @DGPMaharashtra. Thank u to @AnilDeshmukhNCP @MumbaiPolice for relentless efforts in the face of this adversity. Very grateful to doctors, medical staff, health workers who are leading the fight against the virus on the frontlines." Salman Khan too changed the display picture on Twitter and Instagram.
Akshay Kumar, who was among the first ones to donate to PM-Cares fund to fight Coronavirus, thanked the Maharashtra Police for the relentless work and effort they are doing in tough times of Pandemic. He wrote, "Everyday I hear incidents of bravery of our frontline workers who are putting fear & exhaustion aside and putting us first. One such hero is our Maharashtra Police, I’m changing my DP to theirs as a mark of respect.Join in, together let’s say #DilSeSalute to them @DGPMaharashtra."
