Ajay Devgn, who made his debut as an actor in the 1991 film Phool Aur Kaante has come a long way in his film career spanning almost three decades! Having given some hit films such as Golmaal, Singham, Drishyam, Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Raju Chacha and many more, the actor remains one of the most bankable stars to date. Now, the actor is gearing up for the release of his latest period film Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, in which he plays the role of Tanaji Malusare. The film also stars his wife Kajol as Savitribai Malusare, and Saif Ali Khan as Uday Bhan.
The trailers of Tanhaji received good response and people were all praise for Ajay Devgn’s acting. However, it might come as a shock to al you Ajay Devgn fans as the actor does not plan on continuing his acting career for long. While speaking to Hindustan Times, Ajay Devgn revealed that while he’s currently trying to strike a balance between being an actor and producer, he will eventually become a full-fledged producer. “I know that there’s a limit as an actor. After a couple of years, I might not be a mainstream actor anymore and get into character roles. So my focus will slowly but obviously shift to production,” he said. Ajay Devgn, while giving the example of his film Tanhaji, said that to make a big-budget film, one also needs intelligence. He said, “Not everything is about money. To make a big film like Tanhaji, you need intelligence and you need to be technically savvy. The budget of this film is nowhere more than any big film. But if you see the visuals and the special effects, it’ll look like a huge film. And that’s only because we’ve been working on it for four years.”
Meanwhile, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior, starring Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan, Kajol and Sharad Kelkar in pivotal roles is all set to release on January 10, 2020.
