Instagram has been memorialising the late stars' accounts and adding 'Remembering' tag in their profile. Earlier, Instagram had memorialised Sushant Singh Rajput's account after his tragic demise who died by suicide after hanging himself in his Bandra residence. Having said that, Instagram yet again did the same with the veteran star Irrfan Khan's account. The Angrezi Medium star was battling with neuroendocrine tumour or cancer and succumbed to this disease on April 29, leaving everyone grieving.

Having said that, Instagram has now memorialised his profile, adding a ‘remembering’ tag over his name on his official account. According to Instagram, memorialized accounts are a place to remember and celebrate someone’s life after their demise. The posts that the deceased person had shared on their Instagram account will still be visible for the audience. However, once the account has been memorialized, no one can log into it, or make any sort of changes to the existing posts or comments.

After Irrfan Khan's sad demise, his wife Sutapa Sikdar had shared a heart-wrenching letter on his twitter feed, captioning it as ‘From Sutapa, Babil and Ayaan...’ Sutapa starting the eulogy read, “How can I write this as a family statement when the whole world is taking it as a personal loss? How can I begin to feel alone when millions are grieving with us at the moment? I want to assure everyone that this is not a loss, it is a gain. It’s a gain of the things he taught us, and now we shall finally begin to truly implement it and evolve. Yet I want to try to fill in the things that people don’t already know." In the long letter, Sutapa also asked her sons to sum up a lesson taught by their father that has been important to them, to which Babil Khan wrote: “Learn to surrender to the dance of uncertainty and trust your faith in the universe" while Ayaan Khan wrote: "Learn to control your mind and to not let it control you."
