The COVID-19 pandemic has been affecting the country currently with many people testing positive day by day. In the meantime, the government has been taking efforts to prevent the spread of the virus by announcing the lockdown. On the other hand, our Bollywood celebrities have been trying their best to help the doctors, nurses and medical staff on the frontline and have been pledging their support to the government with relief funds. As SRK and Gauri Khan recently offered their four-storeyed space in Mumbai to BMC as a quarantine facility, now, actor Sonu Sood offers his Mumbai hotel to medical staff treating COVID-19 patients.
Actor Sonu Sood has offered to help the medical staff fighting the COVID-19 pandemic in Mumbai. Sood has reportedly opened the doors of his Mumbai Hotel as a residential facility to help the doctors, nurses and medical staff on the frontline treating COVID-19 patients. Speaking with The Times Of India, actor Sonu Sood mentioned that it is his honour in being able to do his bit for the doctors, nurses, and para-medical staff of our country who have been working day and night. He said, “It’s my honour to be able to do my bit for the doctors, nurses and para-medical staff of our country, who have been working day and night to save people’s lives.”
Talking about his decision further, the actor added how the doctors and medical staff hail from different parts of the city. Hence, as they need someplace to rest, he had opened the doors of his Mumbai Hotel. Sonu Sood said, “They hail from different parts of Mumbai and need a place to rest. We have already approached municipal and private hospitals and informed them about the facility.”
