Fans of Dabangg franchise are eagerly waiting for the 3rd instalment of the much-awaited film. As we wait for the makers to make the official announcement of the star cast of Dabangg 3, rumours mills are abuzz that Kannada actor Sudeep has been roped in as the villain of the film.
A report in Mumbai Mirror suggests that Sudeep will be seen playing the bad cop in the film. A source close to the makers told a leading tabloid, “Sudeep and Salman have been planning to team up on a film since a long time and things have finally fallen in place. The two will engage in Tom and Jerry kind of skirmishes in Dabangg 3. Sudeep’s character has shades of grey.” The source further revealed that the film will be shot over 90-100 days.
The report further adds, “Prabhudheva, recently narrated the basic premise to Sudeep, who has verbally given his nod to the film pending contractual formalities. Buzz is, the film will have two baddies and the second could be Telugu actor Jagapathi Babu who will be seen alongside Ajay Devgn in Tanhaji.”
Earlier, in an interview to IANS Arbaaz Khan had said that Dabangg 3 is expected to go on floors by the beginning of March 2019 following which the release of the film will be scheduled by the end of 2019.
The actor told, IANS, "We will start shooting the film by the end of February or in the beginning of March next year. We are aiming and hoping that we will be able to release the film by end of next year.”
He further added, “A lot of work on Dabangg 3 has been done. We have almost locked script of the film. We have almost locked cast and technicians for the film. Now, we are doing pre-production of the film where we will finalise shortlisted songs, we will start production designing of the film and after that, we will do recce of locations."
The first two parts had Sonu Sood and Prakash Raj as the antagonists, and now with Sudeep taking over the mantle from them, let’s see how well he manages to give a tough fight to Salman Khan’s Chulbul Pandey.
