After Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath revealed his prestigious plan of moving the film industry to Uttar Pradesh with the media, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut expressed his displeasure and disagreement on the same in the media. However, Home Minister of Maharashtra, Anil Deshmukh also has a similar opinion as he said that the film industry was established 100 years ago and no other state can provide facilities with the way Mumbai has as the city has better law and order. Anil also confidently asserted that the film industry can't go anywhere despite any efforts.
"Over 100 years ago film industry was established here. I don’t think any other state could've provided facilities that Mumbai has. We've better law & order. I'm confident the film Industry can't go elsewhere. Let him (UP CM) make efforts" said Anil Deshmukh, Maharashtra Home Minister to ANI. Earlier, Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut said it is not easy to shift Mumbai’s Film City elsewhere even though attempts have been made for it. He even mentioned that it is difficult to replicate Mumbai’s film industry elsewhere as it has a glorious film history and past.
For the unversed, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath had earlier unveiled an ambitious plan to set up a film city and rolled out an open offer to film fraternity to come to Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, he recently met actor Akshay Kumar where he had a fruitful discussion on the film world and his work and contribution.
