It was yesterday that the news of two members of Karan Johar's domestic help testing positive for Coronavirus made it to the headlines. This comes after Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor's cook tested positive for COVID-19 and was put under quarantine. As the news broke, the filmmaker took to social media to put up a statement on the same. He confirmed the news and stated that all the family members have taken the swab test and reports are negative. Post this, a video of his mother Hiroo Johar undergoing the sanitisation process made it to the internet. '

In the video, we see Hiroo Johar dressed in nightwear standing ahead of the sanitisation spray machine. In the statement, Karan Johar had mentioned that all the necessary steps to sterilise the house are being undertaken with the help of BMC. He wrote, "The BMC was informed immediately, and the building has been fumigated and sterilised by them as per the norms. We have all taken the swab test this morning and have tested negative, but will remain in self isolation for the next 14 days."

At the end of the statement, Karan Johar also mentioned that they'll take due care of the house helps who tested positive. He wrote, "We will also ensure that best treatment and care is provided to them during the illness, and we're sure that they will be fighting fit soon! These are difficult times but by staying in our homes and taking the right precautions, there is no doubt in my mind that we can defeat this virus. Stay home everyone and stay safe."
