After Kanika Kapoor Tests Positive For COVID-19, Lucknow Goes Into Virtual Lockdown, Contact Mapping Is Underway

Popular Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor, known famously for her song Baby Doll, has been tested positive for Coronavirus. The singer had recently landed from London and went to her family in Lucknow after which she complained of a sore throat and flu. She got tested for COVID-19 and the result came back positive. Kanika has been admitted to a Lucknow hospital, and is in quarantine. Amid all this, it was also reported by a section of media that she attended a party in the UP capital which had about 180 guests, and now, the city has gone into a virtual lockdown.

According to India Tv, Lucknow has gone into a virtual lockdown since it was found that Kanika has been diagnosed with coronavirus. The report also states that she had attended a party in Lucknow which saw about 180 guests in attendance. Among those present at the party, was also former Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, who is now in self-quarantine herself. The report further states that as per the latest orders of Lucknow DM, hotels, restaurants, cafes, and other eateries will remain shut as the contact tracing is going on.

Meanwhile, after Kanika Kapoor tested positive, currently there are nine coronavirus patients reported in Lucknow, so far. Kanika gave her fans a health update through her Instagram post and wrote that while she is okay, she has a mild fever and normal flu.
