After Judwaa 2, Varun & David Dhawan Are Planning A Remake Of This Salman Khan Blockbuster!

The year 2017 has been amazing for Varun Dhawan as he delivered a couple of hits- Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Judwaa 2. Both crossed Rs 100 crore mark and the actor even got awarded for his skills. 

Now, as per reports in Mumbai Mirror, the father - son duo Varun and David is contemplating the remake of Salman Khan's 1999 super-hit film Biwi No 1 which starred Karisma Kapoor and Sushmita Sen as its leading ladies.

A source told the leading daily, “The discussions are presently at nascent stage. The Dhawans will start work on the film in the coming year. Biwi No.1 is one of Varun's favourite films and he is excited to collaborate with his father once again.”

Reportedly, the shooting dates and casting of the leading ladies will begin once the final script is locked. “Biwi No.1 is one of Varun's favourite films and he is excited to collaborate with his father once again,” said the source.

Biwi No 1 was a remake of the 1995 Tamil film, Sathi Leelavathi.  This family drama revolved around Prem (Salman) married to the loving and traditional Pooja (Karisma) who gets involved in an extra-marital affair with an ambitious model, Rupali (Sushmita). Apart from the three actors, the film also starred Anil Kapoor and Tabu in key roles. The film is also known for hit numbers like title track, Biwi No 1, Chunari Chunari, Jungle Hai Aadhi Raat Hai and Uff Mirchi.

We are sure that Varun Dhawan’s fans can’t wait to watch the remake of Biwi No 1 and see him step into Salman Khan's shoes one more time.
