Former TV reality show Bigg Boss contestant and actress Payal Rohatgi has been in the news after her Twitter account got suspended. The actress had slammed the Bollywood gang after the death of talented actor Sushant Singh Rajput. Post which her Twitter account was suspended, which got #BringBackPayal trending on the micro-blogging site. Now in an interview with Navbharat Times, she has taken a dig at Alia Bhatt, talking about her educational qualifications.
The actress was introduced by the interviewer by mentioning her educational qualifications, actress being a beauty pageant winner and more, which got the actress touching the topic of Bollywood having actresses who have barely completed their high school, but continue to get more attention in public. When asked about who she is talking about, she clearly took Alia Bhatt’s name, by recalling the actress’ presence on the chat show Koffee with Karan, where she incorrectly answered a question relating to the President of India question.
Payal also called Alia dumb, as she explained how filmmakers don’t like to have well-read actresses in the industry and prefer to have someone who won’t question much and go with the flow.
Payal further sheds light on the topic, mentioning this being the case in the industry since a very long time now, however with social media being in place now, people are opening up which is the need of the hour. The former BB contestant also mentioned if any individual who is well qualified and wishes to join the industry, he/she will be a thorough professional and won’t let anyone take undue advantage of him/her. Also, this will compel the filmmakers to adapt to the new ways of working in the industry as they can’t distance everyone coming to the industry for their professional approach.
