Deepika Padukone recently disassociated herself from #MeToo accused director, Luv Ranjan's upcoming film. A news report in Mid Day confirmed her exit from the film starring Ranbir Kapoor and Ajay Devgn. Now the news of male leads’ choc-o-bloc schedules has further delayed the film.
Meanwhile, both the actors Ranbir and Ajay are busy with their ongoing projects, as Luv is in the scripting stage of the movie. While Ranbir is busy with Ayan Mukherjee's Brahmastra, Ajay is shooting for his home production venture titled Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior. Their busy schedules are further delaying Luv’s film, leaving the makers and director in a lurch. Ajay was recently bashed on the e-world for working with actor Alok Nath in De De Pyaar De, who was accused of a rape on TV writer- producer Vinta Nanda during the #MeToo activity on the internet.
Though the filmmaker had apologised and come out clean of the accusation put on him, Deepika’s fans were unhappy with this announcement of her association with him. Thus, a hashtag of #NotMyDeepika started trending on social media, asking the actress to turn down the offer and not to work with Luv Ranjan.
So will Ranbir and Ajay also walk out gradually, to avoid any controversy?
