Alia Bhatt, who is all set to kick-start the second schedule of Mahesh Bhatt directorial Sadak 2, recorded the scratch version for a song in the film at a Juhu recording studio earlier this week.
A source close to the actress revealed to a section of media, “While Jeet Gannguly's score is ready, the lyrics are still being worked upon. Jeet da wanted to understand Alia's pitch and voice modulation, so they decided to record the scratch. The lyrics will now be rewritten under the supervision of Mahesh Bhatt. It is a romantic number and comes at a crucial point in the film, so Bhatt sir is being meticulous about it. The final track will be recorded only after the unit returns from their Ooty schedule in August.”
Earlier, a report suggested that the makers, who had been to the European country, had to return to Mumbai to shoot for their film. Sadak 2. It was being said that the country didn’t really meet their vision following which they decided to shoot the portions in Mumbai.
Confirming the same to Mumbai Mirror, producer Mukesh Bhatt had
said, “Yes, it’s true. We didn’t find locations like Mumbai in Romania, so we
would be shooting those portions here. The film will also be shot in other
parts of India. The creative decision to not go ahead with Romania was taken by
Mahesh, who is directing the film. We are putting up a set at Mehboob studio in
Bandra where Sanjay and Alia will join us on the first day in mid-May.” The
film also stars Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt in the key roles.
