Anushka Sharma recently broke out her silence on the accusations put by former wicket-keeper Farokh Engineer of selectors serving her tea. According to an interview on Republic TV, the former Indian wicket-keeper Farokh Engineer apologized to Anushka Sharma after the accusation he made against the actress receiving special treatment. During the interview, the former wicket-keeper explained how he passed the statement in jest and it was a huge controversy that was created around it. Speaking of Anushka Sharma as a person, Farokh added that she is a lovely girl and has been dragged into it without any reason. Talking about the Indian cricket team captain Virat Kohli, the former wicket-keeper shared that he is a brilliant captain and coach Ravi Shastri is extremely good. Farokh Engineer finally concluded by mentioning how the matter is being blown up unnecessarily and it turned out to be a selector as he was wearing an all Indian blazer. The former wicket-keeper also shared that he was talking about the selectors and not the Zero actress and cleared that he is not her enemy. Meanwhile, Anushka Sharma’s post on her Instagram left everyone in a major shock as the actress decided to finally speak up against the false accusations made on her. The actress wrote, “I am not and will not be a pawn to be used by anyone's thoughts or beliefs or agendas and next time you want to use my name to discredit someone or the board or even my husband, do it with facts and proof and leave me OUT of it,” and concluded her brief note in her style by mentioning how she drinks coffee.
