Akshay Kumar starrer Bell Bottom, a spy thriller, will open in theatres on August 19. While theatres in Maharashtra continue to remain shut due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ticket windows in the rest of the states saw an overwhelming response. All set to release in theatres located in Kolkata, Delhi, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Ahmedabad, the advance booking for the movie has been quite impressive.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar, speaking about the risk of releasing the movie - with theatres having 50% occupancy, told PTI, “The pressure is there on everybody but I'm very sure that things are going to work out. There's a challenge, a risk. But if you haven't taken the risk in life, then what have you done? So we have gone with it. He also spoke about his producers taking the risk and marching ahead. “In this journey, I have my producers who have also taken the risk and that's how we have proceeded."
When the actor was quizzed about theatres in Maharashtra being shut, he said their move to release the film was a gamble. He said he believed the leap the makers have taken will work in their favour. The versatile actor added, “It is a gamble and someone had to take this gamble. We have taken this leap and I'm confident that this is going to work.”
