After having worked in the Hindi film industry since he was 14, Aditya Seal finally got the recognition he deserved with his stint as the antagonist in the Tiger Shroff, Ananya Panday and Tara Sutaria-starrer, Student of the Year 2 in 2019. After that, he was a part of Indoo Ki Jawani, opposite Kiara Advani, but that film was more focused on Kiara’s character.
His first major solo leading role after the SOTY 2 success is coming with Rocket Gang. The one-of-a-kind dance horror-comedy marks choreographer Bosco Martis’ debut as a director and features Nikita Dutta as the female lead. Aditya has taken some training in dancing before and he even showed a glimpse of it in SOTY 2 as he matched steps with Tiger in The Jawaani Song.
Ask the actor how it feels to bring his love for dance to screen through the film, and he is both excited and a tad bit nervous. “It had been something that I wanted to do for a very long time. But when I went on set and prepped for the film, I realised it seemed easier in dreams only,” he quips.
Aditya goes on to appreciate the efforts put by everyone on the film. “It required a lot of hard work and effort to make this film happen and complete it. Not only what the audience gets to see on screen but a lot more. We have shot the film amidst a pandemic and it has been a struggle. People would never be able to see that side of it but we lived through it and have come out the other side of it victorious. It’s amazing and it feels like ‘my project’. Everyone involved in the film has given a lot more than what the audience would get to see on the screen,” he insists.
A few days ago, the actor had put up an Insta story of getting back to work with Nikita. Ask him how much work on the film is left and he informs that the principal photography of the film is all complete and just a song shoot is there to be done. “We have five days of rehearsal followed by three days of shoot for the promotional song,” he concludes.
