Over the years, actress Aditi Rao Hydari has impressed the audience with her versatile performances and graceful personality. She has been raking in all the love from the netizens for her portrayal of Bibbojaan in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s first web series Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. Her Gajagamani Walk from the song Saiyaan Hatto Jao, co-starring Fardeen Khan, instantly went viral on social media. The walk, where Bibbojaan proudly showed off her back rolls left many women feeling empowered. Many heaped praises on her and stated how she encouraged them to embrace their body. Now, the actress has opened up about the same.
In a recent interview with Zoom TV Entertainment, she spoke about her viral walk in the song. Recalling the dance, Aditi shared that during the shoot of the song, she wore the ghagra. However, immediately, Bhansali pointed out how she had gained a lot of weight. Since it was during the pandemic time, she requested the director-producer to give her a few days to lose her weight. He immediately rejected the idea and told her that she looked beautiful. Quoted by Bollywood Shaadis, the 37-year-old actress said, When I had put on the Ghagra, Sanjay Sir told me that I had put on weight. I asked him to give me 10 days since it was post Covid. He said, ‘No you look beautiful. Let’s shoot.' I really value that.
