After delivering a blockbuster performance in Padmaavat, everyone just had one question about Deepika Padukone, What Next? Everyone was wondering how can Deepika top that performance and later it was announced that will be next seen in Meghna Gulzar's film Chhapaak. For those of you who don’t know, Chhapaak is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal. Pictures of the actress shooting in Delhi for the film had gone viral on the internet and her fans just went gaga over it. There were also reports that Deepika broke down on the set on the first day.
In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Laxmi was asked about what she felt about it? To which she said, "When you see someone in pain, you feel it too. Deepika is someone who embodies the character and not just the face. She immersed herself completely into the role and the character. It is a painful journey, so I think it is natural for anyone to breakdown if they are so involved with the journey. I am only happy to know that she is doing full justice to the role."
Furthermore she then expressed her joy about the fact that Deepika Padukone is essaying her role on the big screen. The film also stars Vikrant Massey in a key role and is slated to release next year. It will also be Deepika Padukone’s first outing after getting married to Ranveer Singh.
