Ever wondered about Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai's dynamic during disagreements? In a flashback interview, the celebrity couple shared that they experience "disagreements" almost daily, which, fortunately, never escalate into anything "serious." Having tied the knot in 2007 and raising their daughter, the couple candidly admitted to the frequency of their disagreements in a 2016 interview with Vogue India. The Dhoom 2 actress remarked, "Oh, every day," with Abhishek chiming in, "But they're more like disagreements, not fights. They're not serious, they're healthy. It'd be really boring otherwise." Celebrating his 48th birthday on Monday, the Guru actor shared a playful insight into his relationship dynamics, revealing that he's usually the one to extend the first apology. He humorously explained their rule of not going to sleep on a disagreement, stating, “But we have a rule—we don’t sleep on a fight. And in defence of all men, I want to tell you, half the time the reason we give in and say sorry is because we’re just so sleepy and want to go to bed." Adding a touch of humour, Abhishek acknowledged, “Besides, women are the superior race, and they’re always right. The sooner men accept that, the better. It doesn’t matter what you say, even if you have concrete proof, in their world, it’s futile, it makes no sense.” On the other hand, Aishwarya emphasized that, for her, the key marital advice is to uphold "faith" and genuinely believe in it with heart, mind, and soul. She expressed, "The body will follow anyway. Be brutally frank with yourself. You are your own best friend." On the other hand, Abhishek countered the scepticism around marriage, asserting that it's everything one anticipates and even more.
“Don’t believe the haters. People have joked about marriage for so long that it’s come to stick. But it’s great fun. Go for it. Just be 500 per cent sure of the person. Don’t do it if you have even an iota of doubt, if you’re not completely convinced,” he added. The celebrity couple will be commemorating 17 years of togetherness on April 20.
