On Sunday, T-Series head honcho Bhushan Kumar whipped a storm by saying to a portal, "My father's biopic is very close to me. That is the biggest announcement we have made in our lives and we will confirm an actor soon for Mogul. He could be bigger than Akshay Kumar." Obviously, this didn't go down well with Akshay.
In the recent past, there have been rumours doing the rounds that Bhushan has approached Aamir Khan to essay his father's role.
However, Aamir's spokesperson has now quashed all such rumours. A while ago in a statement to a leading daily, the spokesperson said rather categorically, "There are many speculations about Aamir Khan doing numerous projects, but currently he is doing only Thugs Of Hindostan. He has not signed any other project. If and when he does, he will make an official announcement. Right now his focus is only on Thugs Of Hindostan.”
With Aamir not doing the film, and with Bhushan wanting a star bigger than Akshay, it leaves Bhushan with one option lesser.
As for Aamir after he finishes Thugs Of Hindostan, he will dive deep into the onscreen adaptation of Mahabharata, for which Mukesh Ambani has reportedly come onboard as a producer.
Coming back to Mogul, we await who eventually plays the late Gulshan Kumar.
