Aamir Khan is all set to end his sabbatical and return on screens with Sitare Zameen Par. While the actor is gearing up to get back to the sets in January, he is expected to release his next in Christmas 2024. Sitare Zameen Par is RS Prassanna’s adaptation of the 2018 Spanish sports drama, Campeones.
If we are to go by the latest reports, Aamir Khan has roped in his Dangalco-star Fatima Sana Shaikh for a yet-to-be-titled comedy-drama as part of his upcoming production ventures, a new Pinkvilla report suggests. Interestingly, the film will be helmed by Secret Superstar maker, Advait Chandan.
“Advait Chandan, who directed Aamir’s Secret Superstar and Laal Singh Chaddha, has been brought on board to helm this movie. The narration took place earlier this month, and things are progressing smoothly. Advait is fine-tuning the script, with production expected to commence in the first quarter of next year,” a source told PinkVilla.
Previously, Aamir Khan had signed Fatima Sheikh for the Hindi remake of the Malayalam film, Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey.
Speaking on the film, the source added, “However, that project didn’t materialise, and a while later Advait Chandan came up with this crazy, fun-filled script. Both Aamir and Fatima loved it and immediately gave the director a go-ahead.”
On the professional front, Fatima Sheikh last appeared in Dhak which also starred Ratna Pathak Shah, Dia Mirza and Sanjana Sanghi. The film hit theatres on 13 October. Next, Fatima will be seen in Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur in December and Anurag Basu’s Metro…In Dino in March 2024 in her kitty.
