Election season awaits in India and now Aamir Khan's fake quote that claims to be his political comments is going viral on the internet. A social media post shared online by several users has the Bollywood superstar pic circulated with the '15 Lakhs' gimmick jibe at the Modi govt. Now, the 59-year-old actor's spokesperson has come forward to rubbish these claims. The official spokesperson stated: “We want to clarify that Mr Aamir Khan has never endorsed any political party throughout his 35-year career. He has dedicated his efforts to raising public awareness through Election Commission public awareness campaigns for many past elections."
The statement further read, "We are alarmed by the recent viral video alleging that Aamir Khan is promoting a particular political party. He would like to clarify that this is a fake video and totally untrue. He has reported the matter to various authorities related to this issue, including filing an FIR with the Cyber Crime Cell of the Mumbai Police. Mr Khan would like to urge all Indians to come out and vote and be an active part of our electoral process." Below is the viral political ad of the Bollywood superstar.
On the work front, Aamir Khan was last seen in the film Laal Singh Chaddha which tanked at the box office. The actor is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Sitaare Zameen Par, which promises to be a sequel in spirit to Taare Zameen Par.
