Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan’s upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha which was filmed before the lockdown, came to a pause with the spread of the Novel Coronavirus. Now as per reports in Times Of India, the cast will take off soon to Turkey and Georgia to complete the remaining portions of the film. The location of the movie was shifted from North India (Ladakh)to Turkey and Georgia due to the ongoing tension between India-China in the Galwan Valley.
Hence, if it goes as per the plan, film will be released as per the announced release date in December 2020. A source informs director Advait Chandan and perfectionist Aamir Khan to be waiting for the situation to get normal, but the rise in the COVID-19 cases has only spiked up in the last four months in the country. A source says, “Advait Chandan (director) and Aamir waited it out for quite some time, but it's more than four months now since Coronavirus invaded and the number of cases is still spiking. How long can you go on waiting for a big canvas film like ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’? So, they have planned for Georgia and Turkey.”
So far 30-35% of Laal Singh Chaddha is yet to be shot, both the countries Turkey and Georgia have so far managed to control of COVID-19.
