Just like the star cast of the film, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone starrer ’83 trailer launch was also expected to be huge and on a grand scale. The makers of Ranveer Singh starrer ’83 were planning for a massive trailer launch event in the city where we were going to see the director Kabir Khan and India’s former cricketer captain Kapil Dev at the gala launch event which was to be hosted on March 11. However, if the latest reports are anything to go by then the makers of ’83 decided to avoid hosting a packed event due to coronavirus outbreak.
A report in Bollywood Hungama, the trailer launch that was expected to happen in Mumbai’s sprawling MMRDA Grounds might get cancelled, however, there has been no confirmation of the same. As everyone has been advised to avoid crowded place and mass gathering due to Coronavirus scare, there is a higher possibility that the trailer launch will get cancelled. Speaking on the same, a source was quoted by the portal, “The trailer launch will not take place on March 11. It was supposed to be a grand spectacle – not just the film’s team and cricketers, but even fans were to be called in. In such times, it was not advisable to have such sort of a crowded event. The producers, hence, took a joint decision in the interest of the cast and crew and also the fans.”
So will the ’83 trailer be released on March 11 sans any event? The source quipped, “Nothing is sure. The trailer, most probably, will come at a later date now. Whether to do a launch event or not is something the makers will decide on soon.”
