This will be
Abhishek's second directorial after the Arjun Kapoor-Alia Bhatt starrer 2
States, which was based on Chetan Bhagat's 2009 bestseller 2 States: The Story
Of My Marriage.

This will be
Abhishek and Aishwarya’s 9th film together. They first appeared in the
not-so-memorable, Bollywood romantic musical, Dhai Akshar Prem Ke (2000). Three years later, they acted in Rohan Sippy's Kuch Naa Kaho
(2003). In 2005, they featured in the chart buster Kajra Re from the superhit
Bunty Aur Babli. The very next year they starred in JP Dutta’s Umrao Jaan
(2006). The same year they acted in YRF’s multi-starrer action extravaganza
Dhoom 2. Then came Mani Ratnam’s master piece Guru (2007). Post marriage, they
featured in RGV’s Sarkaar Raj, with its starcast helmed by Amitabh Bachchan.
Their last film together was Mani Ratnam’s action-adventure Raavan (2010).
It has been
7-long years since Mr and Mrs Bachchan shared screen space. Time to tide over
the proverbial 7 year itch?
