‘Sex Education Is Not A Topic That Is Taboo At My Home’: OMG 2 Fame Aarush Varma Opens Up About His Parents’ Reaction To The Bold Script

Akshay Kumar, Pankaj Tripathi and Yami Gautam starrer OMG 2 is certainly doing wonders at the box-office. Despite being released alongside Sunny Deol-Utkarsh Sharma starrer Gadar 2, the movie is being loved by the audiences. The movie is being hailed by the netizens as it centres around sex education and conversations about the importance of the same have started on social media. Amidst this all, Aarush Varma, who essays the role of Pankaj’s son in the movie, is being lauded for his performance.

In an interview with Bollywood Life, he has now opened up about how he and his parents were called to the office of Optimystix, where the filmmakers informed them that “ that the script was around the topic of sex education.” The makers enquired if the parents had any reservations, so that they could clarify it before the shooting process started. He went on to talk about how his parents were okay with the topic, since he shares an open relationship with. He added that the topic of sex is never a taboo in his house. The 16-year-old actor told the entertainment portal, “My relationship with my parents is quite open. If I have had any curiosity about anything, I have asked them. It is not a topic that is taboo at my home. Aarush had recently filed a petition so that the movie gets a universal certificate as the target audience of the movie was supposed to be teenagers. Thrilled at the response his petition has received, the young star is glad that the adults have liked the film. Even his close ones, who watched OMG 2, loved the movie. 

For the unversed, OMG 2 is the sequel of Akshay Kumar and Paresh Rawal starrer hit film OMG-Oh My God (2012). The Amit Rai directorial also stars Ramayana fame Arun Govil in a pivotal role. The film is produced by Cape of Good Films, Ashwin Varde, Vipul D Shah and Rajesh Bahl.
