Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor has yet again become a topic of discussion on all social media platforms. He often faces the wrath of the netizens due to his controversial and bold statements. He recently appeared on Nikhil Kamath’s podcast where he opened up about his past relationships, career trajectory, following Sanatan Dharma, and meeting his wife Alia Bhatt for the first time when she was a 9-year-old and he was a 20-year-old. Well, it is safe to say that his confessions in the 2-hour-long interview didn’t go down well with the netizens. 

While many have called him out for lying, some have resurfaced clips of his old interviews where he can be seen contradicting himself. Netizens have also pointed out how the interview was a PR strategy for cleaning up Kapoor’s image as he will be soon essaying the role of Lord Rama in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana. Some claimed that despite having admitted to enjoying eating beef in an old interview, him praising Sanatan Dharma and Prime Minister Modi due to the movie. The netizens added in their claim that it is a strategy to avoid backlash from “the right wing”. On the other hand, fans have also come out in support of the Animal actor’s mature and candid opinions. They have lauded him for not white washing his experiences and sharing the confessions without whitewashing his statements. 












For those who don’t remember, over the years, Kapoor has been termed as a ‘toxic individual.’ From his attitude towards his female co-stars during the promotional activities of his films to a few confessions by his wife Alia which have painted him in a bad light light, the actor is often subjected to criticism by the netizens.

On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor will be next seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s much-anticipated project Ramayan. He also has the sequel of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s blockbuster film Animal, Animal Park, Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, co-starring Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal, and Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra franchise in his pipeline.
