Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan became an household name after his monologues from the Pyaar Ka Punchnama franchise went viral. Having made a name for himself in the entertainment industry all on his own, he has been basking in praises for his recent movie Chandu Champion. The Kabir Khan directorial has left the audiences in awe. From losing 18 kgs for the role to getting into the skin of the character, Kartik left no stones unturned to make this one of his memorable films.
In a recent interview, he opened up about the shooting process of the film and recalled a scary experience where an explosion took place near his right eye. While talking to Zoom about the same, he revealed that they were rehearsing for a war sequence in Chandu Champion when an explosion took place near him which left him feeling scared. He explained that as everyone was running, the explosion was supposed to take place at the right side, just before he reached a certain point. However, since the timing was off, the explosion happened when he reached there. Quoted by Pinkvilla, the 33-year-old actor said, “Mere right side bhaagte hue just pehle hona tha. Woh kuch timing off ho gaya rehearsal mein toh main jab pahucha hoon us jagah pe, woh usi time blast ho gaya. Mere right eye pe blast kar gaya tha.” He went on to add that the incident was quite scary. Aaryan recalled that he couldn’t open his eyes for some time and that his right eye was “all muddy” as it was filled with explosive particles. Fortunately, the particles were sharp enough to injure his eye and the team waited for him to resume the rehearsals. Before performing the scene again, the Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety actor washed his eyes and took medical assistance for a team member who “who looked after it.”
On the work front, Kartik Aaryan was last seen in Chandu Champion. The Kabir Khan directorial is based on life of India’s first Paralympics gold medallist, Murlikant Petkar. He will be next seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, with Vidya Balan and Triptii Dimri, Aashiqui 3, and Captain India. If reports are to be believed, he was approached by Sooraj Barjatya for a new film.
