The makers of Project K finally dropped the teaser for the upcoming film on Friday and the internet has been in a total meltdown. The teaser was released at the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC).
Well, that’s not all!
The makers have seemingly even changed the name of the film and it is now called ‘Kalki 2898 - AD’.
The recently released teaser gives the viewers a glimpse into a dystopian world that is engulfed in darkness. The force that can change the world is represented by the likes of Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan.
The text "When the world is taken over by darkness, a force will rise," flashes on screen and indicates that Prabhas and his squad are here to change the world for the better. The end of the darkness dawns on them.
Sharing the teaser and the revised title of the film, Prabhas wrote on social media, Project K is now Kalki 2898 AD. Here's a small glimpse into our world."
'Kalki 2898 AD' is written and directed by Nag Ashwin of Mahanati fame. The sci-fi film was announced on Vyjayanthi Movies's 50th anniversary. The film is produced on a massive budget of Rs 600 crore, making it the most expensive Indian movie ever. 'Kalki 2898 AD' will release in theatres on January 12, 2024.
Along with the star cast, Disha Patani also plays an important role. Simultaneously shot in Telugu and Hindi, the film has music scored by Santhosh Narayanan, cinematography by Djordje Stojiljkovic and editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao.
