Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty, Darshan Kumar, and Pallavi Joshi starrer The Kashmir Files has been receiving immense love and appreciation from the audience as well as the critics. Vivek Agnihotri’s directorial succeed in evoking emotions with the stellar star cast that shows the tragedy of Kashmir which is deep-rooted. However, even before the release, the film attracted a lot of controversies. 

It all came up when director Vivek Agnihotri publicly claimed that they were not invited to Kapil Sharma Show to promote their film because the film does not have a big star. Taking to his Twitter handle, the director wrote," They refused to call us on there because we don't have commercial star #FACT". Even I am a fan. But it’s a fact that they refused to call us on their show because there is no big star. Now, ‘Boycott Kapil Sharma Show’ is trending on Twitter. Furious fans are even demanding an apology from comedian Kapil Sharma. Fans are upset with the Comedy King and the makers saying it is unfair. One fan tweeted, “Yes friends, this is the same movie that Kapil Sharma refused to appear in his show, this is the one that was praised by the Prime Minister, Hon'ble Narendra Modi. Don't want to watch cheap comedy show! Shame on @KapilSharmaK9#BoycottKapilSharma #BoycottKapilSharmaShow #TheKashmirFiles.” Another wrote, “This is unfair man.Justice for the kashmir files...!#BycottKapilSharmaShow #TheKashmirFiles.”

For the uninitiated, recently a fan-requested Vivek Agnihotri to promote his film on Kapil’s show to which he replied that he is not someone who decides whether to promote the film or not, it’s all his and the producer’s call. He tweeted, “I don’t get to decide who should be invited on @KapilSharmaK9 show. It’s his and his producer’s choice. As far as Bollywood is concerned, I’d say what once Mr. Bachchan was quoted saying about Gandhis: Vo raja hai hum rank.”

Despite facing a box-office clash with Prabhas’s Radhe Shyam, The Kashmir Files is flying high with fans applauding Vivek’s directorial.
