It tells the story of Bilqees "Bobby" Ahmed, a Hyderabadi woman who solves petty neighborhood cases before a rich NRI asks her to find two missing girls.

The story revolves around an amateur detective Satyaveer who finds himself caught in the middle of a murder investigation, while collecting evidence of an extra-marital affair.

36 China Town, directed by Abbas-Mustan, starred Kareena Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Akshaye Khanna, Upen Patel, Johny Lever, Isha Koppikar and Paresh Rawal. The movie revolved around the murder of a wealthy casino owner, Sonia Chang. It was a remake of the English movie Once Upon a Crime.
