Nargis Fakhri had a very curt reply when asked about her break-up with Uday Chopra. “That question is irrelevant,” she said at the trailer (above) launch of her upcoming film, Banjo.
Banjo marks Marathi filmmaker Ravi Jadhav’s directorial debut in Bollywood. Jadhav has already tasted success with Marathi films like Natarang (2010), Balak-Palak (2012) and Timepass (2014). The film stars Riteish Deshmukh and Nargis in lead roles.
A musical drama, the film has Riteish playing a Banjo player and Nargis, a DJ. The story, we hear, revolves around Banjo parties and showcases Maharashtra in a different light.
Vishal-Shekhar have composed music for the movie, which has been produced by Krishika Lulla.
The trailer shows Riteish looking like a seasoned Banjo player -- his body language, look… everything is perfect to the T. Nargis plays an NRI kudi who falls in love with the hero and his music.
Coming back to Nargis, the actress who has been missing from Mumbai since May, returned only this weekend. It was said that she had flown back to New York after finding it unable to bear with heartbreak. At the trailer launch, however, the Rockstar actress refuted all such rumours. “I went back because of health reasons. I am back now and am not going to go anywhere,” she said.
