Weekend is over and it’s time to find out how has Aditya Chopra’s directorial venture with Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor fared at the box-office.
While the first day collections recorded a figure of Rs 10.36 cr, it showed a limited growth on Saturday and made Rs 11.60 cr. Sundayrecorded a figure of Rs 12.40 cr, making it a total of Rs 34.36 cr from 2100 screens across India. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted:

The opening of the film was pretty impressive, considering the last few films post demonetisation did not record a double digit figure on its first day. Dear Zindagi starring Shah Rukh Khan and Alia Bhatt got the maximum collection of Rs 8.75 cr on first day as compared to Kahaani 2, Rock On 2 and Force 2.
A lot of the opening buzz can be credited to the fact that Befikre was 2016’s one of the most awaited film. Apart from Ranveer Singh’s crazy fan following, film got buzz as it was Aditya Chopra’s directorial venture.
Befikre gives you a glimpse into a new-age love story, on the lines of 'No Strings Attached' brewing between the lead pair, Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor. When the first trailer of the film was launched, a lot of people compared it to YRF’s another venture Neil and Nikki starring Uday Chopra and Tanishaa Mukerji, which released in 2005. However, it’s nothing close to that. Thank god!
Ranveer-Vaani starrer Befikre has been shot across the popular locations of Paris, and you'll be surprised to know that the movie was completed in just 50 days. Aditya Chopra got back in the director's chair after almost 8 years for Befikre. However, this time he did not have Shah Rukh Khan for company. His protégé Ranveer Singh and Vaani Kapoor were by his side.
