This weekend saw two National award winning actors’ Ayushmann Khurrana and Vicky Kaushal movies, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan and Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship clashing at the ticket windows. Ayushmann’s homosexuality based drama opened on a slightly better note than Vicky’s horror flick. On Day 2, the romantic comedy earned Rs 11.08 cr. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh giving out numbers for day 2, also predicted that SBZS will possibly do well on Day 3. Hope the movie closes its opening week on a good note.
Talking about Vicky Kaushal’s horror drama Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship, it continues to show a limited growth just like the first day. On Day 2 i.e. on Saturday, it earned Rs 5.52 cr. According to Taran Adarsh, though the movie is doing well in mass circuits, it is lacking behind in metros, failing to impress the audience. The trailer of the film was quite gripping, but the movie reviews weren’t up to the mark thus, making it the second in the race at the box-office.
With Ayushmann Khurana starrer standing tall at Rs. 20.63 cr, Vicky’s horror film has managed to earn Rs. 10.62 cr in two days.
