Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan released in theatres on February 21, and was well received by the audiences as well. The film clashed at the Box-office with Vicky Kaushal’s Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship but minted Rs 9.55 crores on Day 1. Ever since SMZS witnessed a major drop in box-office collections on Day 4 with a collection of Rs 36.53 crore in total. In the second week of its release now, Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan has managed to cross the Rs 50 crores mark at the Box-Office.
Sharing the box-office collection of Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan on Instagram, Trade Analyst, Taran Adarsh wrote, “#ShubhMangalZyadaSaavdhan posts healthy numbers on [second] Sat and Sun... #Delhi, #NCR continue to contribute... Lack of major opposition [new release] helped, to an extent... [Week 2] Fri 2.08 cr, Sat 3.25 cr, Sun 4.06 cr. Total: ₹ 54.23 cr. #India biz. #SMZS.” Further listing down the numbers, he shared that the film has collected a total of Rs 52. 23 crore in the second week and has managed to cross the Rs 50 crore mark.
The Hitesh Kewalya film collected a total of Rs 2. 08 crores on a Friday. The film witnessed growth on the weekend with a collection of Rs 3.25 crore on Saturday and Rs 4.05 crore on a Sunday. Although the Taapsee Pannu film Thappad’s release, the lack of a major new release helped the Ayuhsmann Khurrana film.
