Prabhas’ Saaho was the most-anticipated film, for the superstar starring in a film right after Baahubali. The film had a big budget of around 300 crores and was supposed to be a super hit, but seems like the charm of the megastar is not working anymore. Saaho has dropped miserably in its Box-office collection in numbers with a collection of total Rs. 14. 95 in Week 2. The superstar studded film Saaho starring Prabhas and Shraddha Kapoor was well received by the audience in Week 1 with a collection of Rs. 116.03 crore.
As the Prabhas charm and zeal drops off from the people, the film has proved of no worth. According to Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh, the film has faced a humongous drop of 81.10% collecting a total of Rs. 14.95 crore in Week 2. The Hindi version of the film collected Rs. 116.03 crore in Week 1 and collected Rs. 14. 95 in Week 2 with a total collection of Rs. 130.98 crore. The numbers of the film clearly disclosed that the popularity of Prabhas has only brought the audience to the big-screen. With many film releases coming up every week in the competition, recently released Chhichhore’s boat is sailing well, while the Ayushmann Khurrana comedy flick Dream Girl’s fate is yet to be out.
Saaho released on August 30 and is an action thriller film. SpotboyE.com editor Vickey Lalwani rated the film with 2 and a half stars revealing that the film has too many plots, too many villains, too many chases and no substance.
