John Abraham’s spy thriller RAW- Romeo Akbar Walter began on a decent note at the box-office with collection of Rs 5.25 crore on day 1. Now, the Saturday numbers are in and one can say that it turned out to be a fairly good day for the actor-producer.

According to Box Office India, Romeo Akbar Walter did a business of Rs 7 crore on its second day which takes its total business to Rs 12.25 crore. The collections aren’t great, but they aren’t bad either. If the movie manages this sort of growth on Sunday too, then there’s chance for it to sustain on Monday. The reviews haven’t been too favourable for RAW, so it’s not going to be an easy road ahead for the film, to garner the desired numbers at the ticket windows.

SpotboyE.com Editor Vickey Lalwani rated the film 2.5 stars and wasn’t too pleased. He wrote, “Why does a war/patriotic film (almost) begin with a song where the singer has only wailed? The less said about the inexplicable (and sadly so noticeable) background score (Hanif Shaikh), the better. Why is the narrative so confusing? Quite inspired by Raazi even if Grewal denies, I think he should have accompanied me at least three times (before making this) when I went to see that Meghna Gulzar's classy film six times in a theatre? Why is the editing so shoddy? You just can't wait for the interval to happen! And since when did an espionage thriller (set out to be one) become a film of only disguises? Above all, why give John Abraham such a raw deal? The man looks earnest, and mind you, he was good in his last outing Satyamev Jayate.”

Now, after the second day numbers, let’s see how the movie fares on Sunday, which will decide its fate for the coming week.
