Meri Pyaari Bindu, which features Parineeti Chopra and
Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead, showcased marginal improvement on Day 2. After
a dismal first day – it collected a mere Rs 1.75 crore – the film picked up
slightly and pocketed Rs 2.25 crore on Saturday.
It clashed with RGV’s Sarkar 3 at the box-office.
However, the figures of the Amitabh Bachchan starrer are not out yet.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted second day collections
a while ago and wrote, “#MeriPyaariBindu Fri
1.75 cr, Sat 2.25 cr. Total: ₹ 4 cr [750 screens]. India biz (sic).”

Talking about Meri Pyaari Bindu and Sarkar 3 Taran Adarsh
had earlier told SpotboyE.com, "In one word, Sarkar 3 is disappointing,
while Meri Pyaari Bindu is boring. Both films haven't had a great opening in
the morning and afternoon shows. The collections are also below the mark. The
Baahubali wave is still on. Its figures speaks for itself. The movie is still
going strong."
Meri Pyaari Bindu failed to impress the junta and critics. As SpotboyE.com
gathered public reaction on Friday after the first day shows, people
walking out of the Meri Pyaari Bindu shows said that the chemistry between
Ayushmann and Parineeti was fantastic. However, many complained that the film
was boring in certain parts. Also, some were disappointed with the ending.
This is considered to be Parineeti’s comeback film after she took a long break
and underwent drastic transformation. She shed a lot of weight and returned to
the big screen in an all-new avatar. Ayushmann Khurrana and Parineeti Chopra heavily promoted the film across the
country.
Stay tuned to SpotboyE.com for the film’s weekend collection, to be out tomorrow.
