SpotboyE Editor Vickey Lalwani rated Junglee 2 stars and wrote in his review, “It's terribly boring from the first reel of the second half. Chuck Russell (director) doesn't know how to take Junglee forward in Vidyut Jammwal's quest of revenge and so the movie practically ends at the halfway mark. So you star squirming in your seat right after the interval, no matter if your plex has served you non-soggy popcorn for a change.
First half? Not bad. Quite okay. Chuck sets up the story well, but the premise is so thin that apparently he didn't know how to add meat. The bad news for Vidyut is that he is more likeable before he gets enraged at his father's death, he may not like this because he propagates himself in the media with shirtless pictures as one of the biggest action heroes. And once he sets himself loose and goes after the goons, or should we say he becomes junglee--- it's a case of 'Pray, what's happening?' “
On the other hand, he rated Notebook 3 stars and wrote, “This guy is not the simpleton Amol Palekar, but Notebook reminds you of the good, old days of Chitchor, Chhoti Se Baat and Baaton Baaton Mein, where love had depth and no expiry date, unlike today. So, I think Salman Khan should have introduced some other guy and kept Zaheer Iqbal in the reserves for any of his other films. Pranutan Bahl is cast perfectly and should go a long way. So much for the newbies and the film, concisely speaking. What's more?
Pranutan exudes innocence and confidence- both qualities together you don't find in most newcomers today. She has done Mohnish Bahl proud, he can be relieved and happy. Watch her in the scene where she reads what Zaheer has written for her in the Notebook. Watch her in the scene where she calls off her wedding. Watch her in the last scene where she tells Zaheer that she's sent the kids home, and then feels a tad shy.”
Dekhen kya hota hai, aaj aur kal.
