Mohit Suri’s action thriller film Malang starring Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani, Anil Kapoor and Kunal Kemmu released on February 7, 2020, however, the film is struggling at the ticket window despite being a multi-starrer. Though it opened up to a decent collection of Rs. 6.71 crore on day one, followed by showing a little growth on Saturday by minting Rs 8.50 Crore, the movie failed to pull the audience to the theatres on Sunday. On third day of its release, Malang earned only Rs 9-9.25 Crore, as it closes its opening week.
As per Box Office India, the movie now stands at Rs 23.50-24 Crore by the end of first weekend, which can’t be considered as good opening for this Mohit Suri’s project. Tweeting about the movie struggling at the box office on Sunday, trade analyst, Taran Adarsh wrote, “#Malang records decent weekend... Witnesses growth on Day 2 and 3, but jump on Day 3 is missing...
